Chaos Audiobook Summary

The third novel in Jamie’s fantastic Mayhem series reunites lead guitarist, Shawn, with a girl from his past who is determined to show him what he’s been missing.

From the moment she saw Shawn Scarlett perform at a school talent show, Kit Larson has loved two things: the guitar, and the gorgeous, green-eyed boy who inspired her to play. But one careless night in high school shatters her hope of ever being more than a notch in his bedpost.

Six years, two bands, and one mostly mended heart later, Kit s about to make her rock star dreams a reality as the new guitarist for Shawn’s band, The Last Ones to Know. He may not remember their reckless night together, but Kit has never forgotten … and she’s determined to make him eat his heart out.

The release of their new album means a month cooped up on a tour bus, sleeping inches away from the ridiculously sexy musician she’s never quite gotten over. And as Kit gets to know the real Shawn not Shawn Scarlett, the rock god, the player their attraction becomes too hot to resist. But the past is paved with secrets, and when they finally surface, Kit could lose everything: the band, the music, her dreams … and Shawn.

Great addition to a great series.Chaos, Book 3 in the Mayhem Series did not disappoint. It was so good I literally went through the gamete of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I got pissed, I was elated, I had chills and well I just plain rocked. If you haven't read this series it is definitely one to pick up.Let's just say Kit was so Bada$$ that I couldn't help but love her. She was so tough yet vulnerable. Her sass and spontaneity were refreshing. What I loved most about her was that she was true to self, she did't try to be someone she wasn't and that is so important. (yes I have a girl crush ;)Now Shawn, hmmm ok well lets start off by saying that Shawn is a Rock god, but with that being said he is a jerk. Oh but like any female I couldn't help but slowly fall for him even though I wanted to punch him in the face. Kit and Shawn, together they are s good but they have so many issues to work out. Will they put out the fire before they burn or will they go up in flames? This story is the third book by Ms. Jamie Shaw. I am impressed by her attention to detail and characterization. Her voice is evolving and she just keeps getting better with each book. I can not wait for what she has in store for us in the future.

Einfach Liebe!! ❤❤❤❤

Where do I begin...CHAOS WAS FREAKING AMAZING!!! Each book, I learn more about the characters and love them even more! I seriously just want to crawl inside the book and hang out with the member of The Last Ones To Know!!!A hero in a book is only as strong as his heroine counterpart and Kit was amazing!!! Kit and Shawn have a lot of history and when they re-united, there was a lot of pent up resentment, misunderstandings, and feelings. If they would have just got it all out in the open from the beginning, we wouldn't have the pleasure of reading such an awesome story! Some may say that Kit was a whiner or over-dramatic, when dealing with Shawn, but I think back on my own personal experiences and I have to say I did the same things as her. Always second guessing yourself or over thinking situations and feelings. And that right there made Kit REAL and that is the best feeling when you can read about a character and relate. Brilliant job, Jamie! While Chaos can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading Mayhem and Riot. They are also books that will not disappoint. All the characters are interconnected throughout the books and I love reading about all of them. I am looking forward to the next book! I have a feeling Mike's story will be EPIC!*Read and Reviewed for FMR Book Grind*

Shawn and Kits story blew me away! I laughed, I cried, I swooned, all within the first few chapters...sigh...this book gave me some serious feels. If you love a good series that sucks you in from the start and never lets go, then this is the series for you! And that includes this latest story Chaos. I loved Kits passion and drive and determination and Shawns honesty and straightforwardness even when it came to admitting his faults. Their love story is definitely complicated but in the end legendary. It's that kinda love that everyone looks for but doesn't always find. It's the kind I love to read. So what are you waiting for? Go! Buy! Read! You won't regret it...trust me ;)

I don't know how Jamie Shaw does it, but her books are just THE most amazing books I have ever read! She dominates this genre. Just like the first two books, this book was no exception, it was absolutely mind-blowing! Kit and Shawn were a really spellbinding couple, and the fact that I basically read this in one day says a lot. The story had a constant dramatic, romantic, emotional and wonderful storyline that I was totally addicted to. I can't even say how much I enjoyed both the progression between the two main characters, and the story about her twin-brother which i heart soo much. I love, love, loved this book! The fact that there's just one book left in this series, makes me feel both happy and sad! Mike, here I come!5/5 stars

Rating: 4 / 5 stars This book was a lot more fun than Riot, which isn't saying much when you considered how depressing Riot was. Kit and Shawn were... well, they had their fare share of angst (but it wasn't as much as Dee's and Joel's). I think I did like Shawn a bit more for not thinking with his dick and trying to fool around with all the groupies.I don't know how to feel about this book. I had such high expectations for this book, especially since Kit had been a girl that had been wronged by a guitarist named Shawn Scarlet six years ago, when she was a freshman and he was a senior in high school. I didn't like her obsession with him, and I think the romance between the two of them was kind of ... bland with a whole lot of unnecessary angst added just for the sake of the plot's drama. They were cute, they were funny, and I loved how Shawn's the first hero in the series so far to not be hooking around with other groupies while "falling or trying to convince the heroine that he's falling or is in love with her". Things I liked about this book: • Kit's humorous inner monologue. • Kit's relationships with her brothers. It's very one-dimensional, and there's a cliche type of campy family feeling. But I liked it? Yeah, I didn't like how one-dimensional they were, but they contributed to the charm and hilarity of this novel. • Mike. Seriously. I just love, love, love him. I've loved him from book 1 (Mayhem), was upset that book 2 didn't show him that much, and was ecstatic to see him brought up more. • Less slut-shaming compared to the last two books, which is an improvement. • Character growth!!! • How Kit's family dealt with the reveal of Kale's sexuality. Things I didn't like about this book: • I just think that Kit spent 6 years obsessing over him for way too long • The slut-shaming.... ish. There's not that much as compared to book 1 and book 2, but there's still a lot. The only reason why there's less slut-shaming in this one is because book 1 & book 2 had SO MUCH SLUT SHAMING in it. • I think inaccurate portrayal of how bands and groupies work? I don't know about you, but I've been to many concerts to know how this work. Bands on tour (especially smaller bands, like what their band is), will usually have their tour buses in restricted area. Only their guests, themselves, and other band members from other bands can go into the restricted/gated area where their buses are. It's to keep stalkers from trying to break in and cause some damage. And most bands, when on tour, they don't give a shit about hanging out with groupies and sticking their dicks into anything with legs and is of the opposite sex. They're often: exhausted, tired, have to deal with lack of food, lack of clean laundry (I don't know about you, but the second Shawn and Kit went to do laundry, I found myself snorting), and being homesick because they can't be around their loved ones. A lot of band members have made statements on the not-so-glamourous lives of touring. Unless you're a HUGE band (like MAROON 5 STATUS), you're living off of clothes that won't be washed in months. That's why most band dudes end up going shirtless a lot.In AP magazine, there were band members of various bands of various fame that commented on how tame and boring most nights are. Since there's a thing called THE INTERNET, the last thing any one of them want to do is something scandalous that could end up with their names and faces on the web, and their career destroyed.Add in the fact that some groupies tend to be underage, they'd rather keep their career in tact than risk a felony just to live the "glamorous rock and roll life of a rock star"?Either than that inaccurate portrayal of how a musician's life works, I liked this book for the most part. Not for Kit, not for Shawn (sadly), and not for their romance plot-line. I was in it for pretty much any scenes between her and other side-characters. Seriously. I think I liked Mike, Kale, and Leti's relationship and scenes with Kit more than any other scenes in the book.Overall, it's not that bad of a read. Reading this right after Riot, I was kind of underwhelming. I kind of wished I'd read them out of order, because this book wasn't bad, per se. It just didn't measure up to the awesomeness that's Dee and Joel.I like to rank couples and love interest in series, and now that I'm on the third one:1. Dee & Joel. These two are the IT couple for me in this series. I'm hoping Mike will win me over (please).2. Rowan & Adam. (Adam was sweet to her!)3. Kit & Shawn. (Not because I hate them, but because their relationship just threw me off due to her obsession over him for more than 6 years).Heroes of the series rank:1. Mike (I'm sorry, I'm biased. He's been my fave since book 1, and none of the boys have yet to win me over. This could also be because his book hasn't come out yet, so this is just a biased opinion).2. Joel. (He was a broken soul, and I'm a sucker for those. I'm not a sucker for manho's though. He's not even a reformed manho.)3. Shawn. (His maturity and how he didn't sleep around with groupies in this novel??? Very refreshing compared to Joel & Adam).4. Adam. (I know he's sweet, but he was a manho. End of story)I would recommend if you like romances that focuses around second chance romance, but if you don't like cliche and predictable plotlines--than this might not be for you. It's a fast read, and quite enjoyable due to its campy and "ensemble cast" feeling.
