Sharing You Audiobook Summary

Sensational New York Times bestselling author Molly McAdams breaks bounds with this emotionally wrenching, heartbreakingly real New Adult novel of love, passion, guilt, honor, and infidelity.

Twenty-three year old Kamryn Cunningham has left behind a privileged, turbulent past for the anonymity of small-town life. Busy with her new bakery, she isn’t interested in hook-ups or fix-ups. Then she meets the very sexy, very married Brody. Though she can’t deny the pull between them, Kamryn isn’t a cheater and she’s not good at sharing.

Twenty-six year old Brody Saco may be married, but he isn’t happy. When his girlfriend got pregnant six years ago, he did the right thing . . . and he’s been paying for it ever since. Now, his marriage is nothing but a trap filled with hate, manipulation, and blame–the remnants of a tragedy that happened five years earlier. While he’s never broken his vows, he can’t stop the flood of emotion that meeting Kamryn unlocks.

Brought together by an intense heat that is impossible to resist, Brody and Kamryn share stolen moments and nights that end too soon. But is their love strong enough to bear the weight of Kamryn’s guilt? And is Brody strong enough to confront the pain of the past and finally break free of his conniving wife?

4 Runaway StarsRemember when you were a kid and wanted to run away from home? You would pack a bag with the essentials like a book, a clean pair of socks, and a box of Captain Crunch. Then you would head out to the great unknown. Until dinner time. And then you headed home because you had made your point. They knew you meant business now. Kamryn is having the same issues. She decides to run away from home. Except her issues are a little bigger. She is miserable at home. Her rich, successful parents treat her like one of their racehorses to be sold and used as a brood mare. ...as the only daughter of the perfect power couple, I was expected to be perfect as well. Kamryn can't allow that to happen. She has already given them 6 years of letting them be in charge. Now she really does mean business. And she is running away to prove it. Brody is living a nightmare. He is married to his high school sweetheart who is anything but a sweet heart. In fact...she is bat-shit-crazy. Notice the handcuffs on the cover. Those aren't for fun and games. Those are the emotional and mental handcuffs that keep Brody tied to her and freakin' miserable. When Brody and Kamryn meet it is the stuff of Disney movies. Birds sing. The sun comes out from behind the clouds. Squirrels dance in the mist. Ok, so there aren't actual dancing squirrels, but you get the picture.....they are meant to be. This was fairy tale shit, this kind of thing didn't happen in real life. Except, it just had. And the man was married. Stop the dancing squirrels. He is MARRIED. As in Taken. Attached. Legally bonded to another. Don't forget the bat-shit crazy part. And the wifey is not the only one feeling a bit of the Cra-Cra. Kamryn does not want to be that woman. It is not in her to be the "other woman". She knows that is wrong. And Brody? He has been eaten up with guilt for years. So this just adds to the Guilt Pudding that going on in his head. ...I want you more than I want my next breath, and I know I would be insane to walk away from you. This is not going to be your typical romance read. The happy endings possible here are at the expense of others. Is the wife really crazy or just the most manipulative bitch ever? Can all the parents really be that self centered? And the friends and family that do care for Kamryn and Brody....how are they going to handle the moral dilemma? I predict this book will get a lot of people talking. There are some elements of the story that many people do not want in their reading. But they will miss out on another Molly McAdams fan-tab-u-read. We are all a little older and more mature here, so I am going to say pack your shredded wheat instead of Captain Crunch, even though the Captain is the bomb, and run away to your favorite quiet spot for a few hours of reading pleasure. Or maybe pleasure is the wrong word. A few hours of reading being-torn-apart-and-not-sure-how-you-can-love-someone-doing-something-wrong. Life is messy. -Beth

3.5 Stars - I had mixed feelings about this one because of the whole cheating thing. I've read books with cheating in the past but it wasn't ever the whole plot... however this was done extremely well and there's just so much to the story that is above and beyond cheating that made this a great story. Full review to follow on my blog - A Life Bound By Books for the blog tour.ETA: And when I say it was done extremely well I have reasons behind it that I'll express during my review.

Cocktails and Books

SHARING YOU is a book that is going to evoke many differing emotions. If you're not a fan of infidelities, well, the blurb for the book tells you this book had it so this may not be one for you. But for me, while I don't condone cheating under any circumstances, it had it's place in this story and brought a different perspective to the romance between Brody and Kamryn.Brody and Kamyrn were both dealing with different things in their lives when they met. The attraction and feeling of coming home between the two of them was instant. So immediate that when it happened in the story it felt like you were standing in the room watching it happen. It was that tangible. But we knew Brody was married, no matter how unhappily, and Kamryn wasn't the type of person to break up a marriage. She may lust for him, but she wasn't going to be that woman. So I was torn when they gave into their attraction. On one hand, I wanted them together, but on the other I wanted Brody to do the right thing and be rid of Olivia before they started anything. But timing isn't always perfect and you can't always control your feelings, I get that. And we knew how each of them struggled with the decision they made. Brody hated putting Kamryn in the situation as the "other woman" while he tried to get his wife help and Kamryn hated being the other woman and breaking up a marriage she knew was basically over. As they struggled and fought to keep what they had, it did allow for (as a reader) to truly understand that these two were meant to be together. I may not agree with how they started their relationship, but being together definitely brought life back into each character. Brody becoming more the man he was before and Kamryn able to rid herself of her Kentucky racing roots and just being herself. And when you see this side of Brody and Kamryn it's hard to not to like them together and want them to figure this out.Evil has a new name and it's Olivia Reynolds Saco. She was freaking crazy and the main reason I wanted to chuck my Kindle across the room at various points and time. Holy mother of God, this woman was pure evil. She was manipulative, vindictive and borderline psychotic. They way she controlled Brody by using his grief was hateful and made me wish she was real so some sort of bodily harm to could to her. I wanted this woman to suffer for what she put Brody through. Actually, both her and her sadistic parents. That's my only regret with this book. Just divorcing the crazy bitch wasn't enough for me. Brody deserved to get some kind of justice when he finally rid himself of the Reynolds clan. Sure, he got the love of his life, but that just didn't seem like enough (yes, I'm blood thirsty and I'm not embarrassed to say it). This was another great Molly McAdams book. She always managed to evoke such emotions from me as a reader, that I enjoy discovering what kind of ride I'm going to be on. If you don't mind the infidelity, this is absolutely a book you should read. At it's core, it's about overcoming your past and fighting for your future, something that this couple definitely needed to do to get that much sought after HEA.

After growing up in a world where money and status was all that mattered and that for Kamryn, her being existed as a business transaction to suit her father's company, with the help of her maid Barb she ran away from home. She landed in a smalltown called Jetson and opened her own bakery and went just by the name of KC. Here she meet Kinlee and her husband Jace and for the next eight months, she lived to blend in and had strict rules. That all went out the window though , when she met Jace's brother Brody Saco. She felt this instant soulmate connection with him and he felt the same , the problem though is that he is married to Olivia. Brody and Olivia were high school sweethearts and when Olivia fell pregnant , Brody did the right thing and married her. All was going well until the accident and their son died. Now for the past five years Brody and Olivia have been going through the motions and living in a hate relationship. I hated the character Olivia as she was a right manipulative cow , as the story goes on we see that Olivia envies the Cunningham Family and wants to be just like the daughter Kamryn. What she doesn't realise though is that Kamryn wants the exact opposite and is happy living her simple no-strings and no-fuss life . During the majority of the book , we read as KC and Brody can't keep their hands off each other and start to work a plan of action which involves Brody divorcing Olivia's sorry ass. What will happen though when Brody realises KC's true identity and blames her for the way Olivia has turned out and lumps KC in the same box of spoilt rich brat whose family will look down on him and like Olivia she will grow to resent him for holding her back. Can KC share her inner thoughts with Brody and let him know the truth , that she is nothing like that and that she wants her forever to be with Brody , the Bakery and her newfound friends ?As always as a reader, Molly McAdams is one of those authors who you can't help but love her books to pieces as they target edgy situations but examples of true soulmate love that us girls swoon at as we read through the pages.

Simply Love Book Reviews

Gabi‘s review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews 4 STARSReview copy provided for an honest review*** May Contain Spoliers***I was skeptical going into it because I loved Capturing Peace that I felt Brody’s story would pale in comparison to Coen’s. But seriously from page one I did not put my kindle down. We all know Molly McAdams loves her some love triangles. But this was a love triangle that includes adultery and marriage, a very touchy subject for many people. But somehow Molly wrote the story out so that I didn’t feel the guilt for pulling for the “mistress” or the anger towards the husband. She wrote the story so that you couldn’t help but root for Kamryn and Brody despite the flaws of how they came together. I did find that the story was a little fast paced and the relationship moved fast. Although on the other hand I wonder if it were to drag out longer if I would have felt more angst towards the characters. So I’m assuming the pace of the relationship may have helped me feel the pull towards loving Kamryn and Brody.Kamryn loves Brody and finds herself struggling to do the right thing when all she wants is love. Poor Brody is living in his own self inflicted prison that he feels he deserves. He tries time and time again to do the right thing and be the right person to both women. I felt as if I had no choice but to hope they could somehow make it work. The book also showed the dirty secret parts of an affair and it put the whole situation into perspective from both sides. It was tough to see the dirty parts or shameful parts but would make the hope for happiness grow even bigger for the reader.

Nobody does a love triangle as well as Molly McAdams! It's been awhile, actually way, way too long, since my last McAdams book. I'd forgotten how great they are. I know a lot of people don't want to read about someone having an affair. Yes, Brody is married. However, there's so much more to this story that makes it kinda okay. I liked that KC came from a rich family but left it all behind to make sure her happiness came first. She was strong. And she DID try to stay away from that married man. It's just sometimes you can't help who you fall in love with.

I love contemporary romance, it is no secret, but what you might not know is that more often than not, I really have a hard time finding those books that really suck me in. That really stand out and make me remember why I love the genre so much. After you have read so many of them, things start to blend together with the all too familiar tropes and cliches and before you know it, you don't even remember what you are reading and why. In fact, half the time I don't even write reviews for those stories because where do I begin to describe them when everything about it was forgettable? Was too familiar and so overdone all I wanted to do was roll my eyes and hide in the corner waiting for a better read to come along?Believe it or not, I have had to take a break from this genre whether it be YA, NA, or adult. Sometimes enough is enough and I am almost afraid to pick up the next one, no matter how terrific or original it may sound. So when I find one that I really enjoyed, that really did stand out, that wasn't your normal angst and heart ache and putting the pieces back together again type of read, I feel like I have to shout it from the roof tops and make it be known that this, this read, is a winner. This is one that everyone should read.It isn't often I say something like that about a book like this. I deplore cheating. It makes me sad, it disgusts me and I can't and don't condone it. But once in a great while an author can make me see another side to it and McAdams, has done just that.I still don't agree with everything that happened, with why they couldn't wait, but I felt their torture and their pain and the situation that they were in and even fell in love with them both. Brody is in a horrible relationship with a truly deplorable woman and even though I don't like that he cheated on her, I can (sort) of understand it. I felt what he was going through and I felt that even though he did something bad, he did it for all the right reason. You will be hard pressed to find an author that can make you cheer for a couple that is breaking all the rules. That are doing something so wrong, yet so right at the same time. For a couple that you can't help but feel for and want to root them on. Want them to get their happily ever after, together.McAdams did a fabulous job with this. She showed us that every story really does have two sides and that everything isn't always so black and white, that there is a heck of a lot of gray in between, and sometimes, it is that gray that makes all the difference in the world.

Love triangles are my guilty pleasure, I know a lot of people can't deal with the cheating aspect that they bring, but I am a total angst whore. Molly McAdams literally ripped my heart out with her last love triangle. Those of you that have read Taking Chances and Stealing Harper know exactly what I mean. I was prepared to ugly cry my eyes out with this one as well. We originally meet the hero, Brody Saco, in Molly's novella Capturing Peace. He's a secondary character so it's not necessary to read that first, but you do get a little more of his back story. He's been in a loveless marriage for years and every time he's finally ready to walk away his manipulative wife drags him back in. Until he meets KC, the sparks fly from their first encounter. But will Brody ever be able to break free from his marriage and be with her?KC or Kamryn, has always lived a life of privilege, but it's not a life she wants. After overhearing a conversation between her father and her boyfriend she knows it's time to get out. She moves across the country and begins a life where no one knows her or her family. She runs into her best friend's brother-in-law at a party and she just can't get him off her mind. So begins their illicit affair.Molly McAdam's has a true gift for writing. She's so amazingly talented. I love that some of this story was pulled from a couple she knew in real life. And boy oh boy, the woman can write a conniving bitch. I don't think I hated a character this much since Leah in Tarryn Fisher's Love Me With Lies series. Sharing You was one of those books that sucks you in and doesn't let go. Amazing, as usual, Molly. Sharing You is a standalone with no cliffhanger.~ Erin, 4.5 stars

** Josie's 4 Star Review ** I am a huge Molly McAdams fan and anything she writes you can bet I will read. When I got a hold of Sharing You, I just had to dig in. Molly is known for writing books that leave you ugly crying, and saying WTF just happened. Sharing You isn’t really any different from her usually books because no matter what you can be assured that you will have an emotional read on your hands. I definitely loved every single minute that I was on this ride. I found myself happy, sad, angry and frustrated so many times. Kamryn Cunningham has started over in a new town after leaving her old life behind, a meaningless relationship and parents that seem to appreciate a social status more than the happiness of their daughter. Kamryn (KC) has opened a bakery and has made friends in town. Kinlee and Jace have become very good friends to her and they are always together. Kamryn meets Brody, Jace’s brother and the instant they meet there is an immediate attraction. Brody Saco has been in a loveless and volatile marriage for the past 6 years to Olivia. Brody and Olivia married after she became pregnant, but Brody has been manipulated into staying in this marriage by Olivia parents and the guilt he feels over a tragedy that happened 5 years ago. He is resigned to stay in the marriage because he feels it is his punishment and he wants to make sure Olivia gets help. He was fine with the way things were until he constantly kept running into his sister-in-laws best friend, Kamryn. The thing is, he feels more for Kamyrn after just one look than he has EVER felt for Olivia, and he knows he cannot deny or fight these feelings any longer. “Brody, you’re married, I can’t - I don’t – you’re married.”“I know, but I’ve been going out of my mind since I first say you last Sunday, I know this is insane KC but I know I wouldn’t be able to live with myself knowing I walked away from the only person who’s made me feel alive in years, the only person who’s made me feel – whatever the hell this is – ever. Tell me I’m not alone in this. I don’t know what something between us could be called. But I know my marriage is over, I know I want you more than I want my next breath, and I know I would be insane to walk out that door and away from you”“You’re not. Brody, I swear the world stops when I look at you.” KC and Brody decide to keep their relationship a secret. I do not condone cheating in anyway shape or form and especially in a marriage but Brody’s situation is totally different. Naturally things are not easy for them. They have to hide their relationship and constantly deal with his wife Olivia. They constantly have to steal moments, calls and even hide their relationship when they are all together at a family event. But when they do get together there is fireworks. “KC, I can’t do slow anymore. If you want me to stop, you need to say it now.”“I’m not saying anything.”“Thank God. You’re so beautiful. Room Kamryn where’s the room? Babe I haven’t been with anyone in years, so this already isn’t going to last long, but if you keep doing that its gonna be over before it can begin. Come on, give me one more.” Olivia, is one crazy psycho-beotch, she knows when Brody is pulling away and she knows how to get him to run to her. I was so upset so many times with Brody because he managed to let Olivia ruin the little moments with KC. It made me angry and had me tearing up. “Where the hell are you? DO you know what time it is?”“You said you’d be staying at your parents if you got back from Washington tonight. I didn’t know it would matter to you if I was late or –n sh*t, Liv. Why the f*ck, why are you crying?”“I thought something happened to you. You know, I’ m trying to be a good wife here. And you are hours late and don’t even think to —““Kamryn, don’t do this, I’m sorry. But you know I –““I know you have to leave, Brody, it’s fine.”“I’m sorry, please don’t be made. One day – one day we won’t have to do this anymore. I’ll come home to you, and get in out bed, and never leave. I swear.” This was a an emotional journey for me as a reader, because you can see where things were going, I commend KC for trying to follow her heart but Brody fell short many times for me. This back and forth went on for months, and I just could not take it anymore. I wanted to slap Brody so many times because he let his guilt lead him to taking the abuse and staying in that marriage. “We need to figure something out. You need to know what happened when I went home last night. And Aiden – I’m sorry. When I found out he was there, I just flipped. You’re mine, and the thought of anyone touching what is mine drives me insane.”“I am YOURS, Brody, but you’re not mine. You never were. I can’t keep being the mistress in a relationship that I give my everything to, when you’re only giving a fraction of yourself.”“You’re not a mistress, you’re my world. I can’t lose you. I’m so sorry. I love you,” This felt different from Molly’s usually love triangles. I didn’t find the angst to be too much but it was still a difficult read. You will find yourself wishing things would fall into place but at the same time you know that what they are doing is wrong. Can Brody finally let go of his guilt and leave his loveless marriage? Can Kamryn continue to be in a relationship that she is not put first? Will Brody and Kamryn true love be able to survive Olivia and her manipulations? Best part of this book is this is a standalone. So you will get an ending but will it be what you hope for? You’ll have to pick this one up to find out for yourself because I am not saying. *received a complimentary copy from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review*

* 4 Star Review *Sharing You by Molly McAdams is part of the Sharing You series. This series is based off the friendship three young men formed in the Army. This is the story of their lives after they have finished serving. Each book is a novella featuring a different couple. Each book can be read as a stand alone.Sharing You is going to evoke many different reactions from readers. It is a controversial book that may offend some people. With that said, I want to emphasize that this book is very well written. The story flows beautifully. The characters are very real and capture the reader’s attention. The reader can feel their emotions, good and bad. Their heartache is very real and makes the reader ache right along with them. Molly McAdams knows how to write a highly emotional story that will bring tears to your eyes. Although the subject matter was one of my “ick” factors I found I could not put this book down. After reading the first two novella’s in this series I wanted to see where Brody Saco’s life was heading. I understood how he had to step out of his value system to grasp the one chance of happiness. He tried to do everything right, follow the rules, follow his conscience, but sometimes it is the heart that must be followed.Brody has finally found his piece of happiness in life. This happiness may destroy him and Kamryn in the process.I can’t say any more without giving away too many spoilers. I will say that although this book is not your perfect romance and touches on some very hard lines, I think most reader’s will understand where the author was coming from and why she had to allow these characters to experience this life. I know we all know that sometimes there are “exceptions” to the rules. I commend Molly McAdams for being brave enough to write this story.

When I first began reading, Sharing You, I wasn't so sure if this book was my cup of tea. I had struggles with accepting the fairytale quality of Brody and Kamryn's 'love at first sight'. It just didn't feel believable that they instantly had strong feelings for each other after knowing each other for all of two seconds and without saying a single word to each other. I also had troubles with the hard breaks that happened throughout the book. I felt as if the author would be building up a good flow, only to break that flow by ending the chapter or switch POVs. The switch felt harsh and sometimes had me backtracking to make sure I didn't skip any pages. Now some might be wondering why I gave this story a four star rating after reading the first part of my review. I simply loved the characters. Even though I had struggles believing the story, the characters felt very real to me and getting to know them was fun and entertaining. Brody and Kamryn, Jace and Kinlee, Olivia (I didn't like her, but she definitely gave the story flare), along with the other characters. They helped smooth over my grievances with the mentioned aspects from the beginning of my review.Would I read this book again? More than likely. My love for the characters is enough to come back to this book and read their story again.

This book was a very weighty topic. I don't condone cheating in relationships either- if you're not happy, try to fix what's wrong. If all else fails, leave before hurting yourself and the other parties involved. With that being said, and I can see why the author put a note in the book at the end acknowledging that she knows it's a weighty topic/issue, this was an amazing story. I do believe that things happens for a reason in life, and sometimes when following your path in your own story, you meet your soul mate. I completely can understand that these two characters were meant to be together, and they were perfect for one another. Being in that sort of situation isn't an easy one to be in, and the book perfectly illustrated that. I just don't understand why the guy didn't try to leave his coniving, manipulating, lying, cheating wife sooner than he did. I understand he was trying to do the right thing since the accident with their son and she tried putting that over his head for a long time and holding it against him. I was completely baffled when she goes to the main character's bakery and speaks about how "I didn't even want the kid anyway" and you hear how she truly feels. That breaks my heart hearing that there are people out there that feel that way about their kids, while there are so many people who would be so grateful to even have a child. Amazing book.

This book hits on a really hard subject - infidelty. And while I don't advocate cheating in a marriage it happens a lot, that's reality. Nobody is trying to glorify it. This book shows the reality of it...it's messy and painful and not all fun. But it's a romance novel and fiction...so of course if we get a happily ever after we're going to be ecstatic. However, there is so much more than just that to this book. You have supporting characters that you follow as well. Each person in this book you'll grow to love as much as Brody & Kamryn. Molly McAdams has a way of writing stories that draw us in and make us feel as if we're feeling ever emotion her characters do. Each smile I smile, every tear they shed I shed also. At times I want to shake her she has me feeling so crazy but that's also what I love so much about her. Her ability to make me feel it all. It's an amazing book and if you judge it based solely on what you think it might be you are going to miss out on something wonderful.

When I decided to read this story I didn't know what to expect and wasn't sure that I would like it. I mean, from the title of the book you can tell it's all about cheating, right?WRONG! It's about someone stuck in a marriage so toxic that it is slowing killing him, until he finally finds his "forever" girl and their harrowing journey to happiness. Now I am not an advocate of cheating. I have been cheated on in the past and it ain't fun dealing with the hurt. But for this story, without the cheating, (and can you really consider it cheating when you look at all the circumstances?) Brody would never have allowed himself to make the decision to fight for his right to be happy. Or even believed he had a right to be happy. So, yes cheating is wrong, except in extenuating circumstances, and this my friends, was an extenuating circumstance. I am happy for the couple whose story this is based on and I wish the a forever full of happiness and love.
