The Lost Soul Audiobook Summary

Jane Boyle has long since known that her mother-in-law is evil, but she’d never imagined Lynne Doran was actually the embodiment of a powerful, ancient body-snatching demon. Now that Jane has uncovered 666 Park Avenue’s dark truth, she must race against the clock to find a way to destroy Lynne before she finds her next unwilling host. As Jane attempts to tap into powers stronger than her enemy’s, her estranged husband, Malcolm, arrives in time to join the fight . . . but can she possibly learn to trust him again–before it’s too late?

Although this is the final installment of the 666 Park Avenue series for the moment I find myself hoping for more. More magic, more romance and terrific battles between good and evil. While the first two books tended to move somewhat slowly at times this one clipped along at a great pace. Of course for those wondering, good won over evil and the bad guys didn't prosper. But sadly there were losses on the good side as well, poor Jane lost her best friend and (at least for the moment) her husband. I won't spoil the end but it did leave the reader with some hopeful and happy news for the main character. I am hoping that possibly the author will grace us with just one more story but the way the book ended I don't guess that she will. And for those hoping that this series is anything like the television program I will tell you it most certainly is NOT. In comparison the television program was nothing like the books.

** spoiler alert ** That book was definitely a lot better than thr second one from this series. There were a lot of interesting and unexpected events. A lot of things I definitely did not see coming. I still can't believe that Dee died. The whole time, literally up until the last fight, I thought that it would't be true, that Hasina had just made it look that way. And then when Malcolm died too I was mindblown lol To be honest I was sad for them but I also kinda liked that it happened. I mean I liked the fact that the book didn't end with them all living "happily ever after". There was more drama which made it a lot different than like a chick lit for example (not just because of the magic haha). Anyways, overall I really did enjoy this book. The end kinda looked as if there will be another book in the series. I haven't looked that up but if there ever is I would read it.

Gabriella's books in her Lost series (this is the third) continue to improve and the story has become rich like a good chocolate. Her characters have had time to be fully realized and I like what they have become. No spoilers but I was kinda shocked at the events toward the end of this book, then surprised in a good way at the little "twist" built in. Thank you, Gabriella! I like it when a book can give a happy ending while yet making the end a cliffhanger!I will be looking forward to the next installment (I do hope there is one) more than ever before since the characters in place are now so layered and full.An easy to read author that doesn't insult your intelligence but keeps her style free flowing. If you like witches with an old school flair, this one's for you.(Took me a little longer than normal to read this one - actually would have finished in about two days but was distracted by other things. It's a thin, fast read).

What an ending to this amazing series, this is one author I will be looking out for.I don't quite understand why the TV series didn't keep the series the same, they purely used the main character's name and the building, but that is all. This book series would've worked perfectly as a TV series. It all seems to be going wrong for Jane, yet she still has a way out, she can run away and live a sort-of happy life away from all this, on the run. However, Jane stays and fights as we all know she will. This story brought back what I loved about the first novel in the series, it's exciting and full of magic, we are learning as Jane learns and it's very exciting. One false move and it'll all go wrong, we know it's going to be a battle to the death, and with so much loss already which way will it go?Loved this as a whole, and I hope Gabriella Pierce releases more books in the future, and I'll definitely be reading them.

I had read the first two books of this series, so I wasn't expecting anything like the TV series 666 Park Place in this third novel of what may be a trilogy. But I was pleased to see the tale take up where The Dark Glamour left off, with Jane and her friends having helped Lynne Doran, Jane's sinister mother-in-law, locate her long-lost and presumed dead daughter, Annette. The problem is, they haven't helped the daughter reconnect with a loving family at all - they've only served up the next victim in Lynne Doran's plot, the replacement for Jane herself. And now, being a "good witch", Jane will move heaven and earth to rescue her. That's if she can convince Annette she needs rescuing. This is a rousing climax to the trilogy, and ends with sufficient hooks for Pierce to take up the tale again later. Very satisfying as a single novel and as a series!

4 stars, not because it's "good", but because it is enjoyable and it was the perfect antidote to a bad day I had awhile back. It's a light and frothy adventure that only took a couple of hours to read, and that got me up to speed without being annoying despite the fact that it's been awhile since I'd read the previous book. I've already forgotten a lot of what happened, but hell, this isn't great literature with Lessons and Themes and Points, its a freaking revenge/romance/adventure story.

Praise for the 666 TrilogyThe entire trilogy was a great easy read. It was a real page Turner. All loose ends were tied up neatly. The series apparently based on the book has no t thing in common with it at all. I would recommend to readers who were fans of the Charmed tv series.

I really enjoyed this book. It was quick and easy to read and did a great job of developing the characters. The story was interesting and she did a nice job of building suspense. It was a short book and quick read. By the end, I wished it would keep going. The author did a great job of setting up a sequel.

Third book in the series. These books are light and fun. You can read all three in one day. I like to read books like this when I want to lose myself quickly in total entertainment. Nothing serious. I love this series. It is nothing like the TV show that was based on the books. The only similarities are the name and city where the story takes place.

This is the final installment of the sexy, supernatural 666 Park Avenue series. Like the other two novels, The Lost Soul is fun and fast-paced, although the conclusion has its fair share of sadness and bittersweet moments. I found the ending to be quite a surprise, which is always welcome :) This series is highly recommended if, mentally, you really want to get away from it all.

Well, that's not quite what I was expecting... Is that a cliffhanger ending or a promise of another one in the series? Seemed pretty final. I felt like this book was shorter than the others, but I feel that a lot more happened. I wish she would have elaborated or drawn out the final battle, so to speak, but I otherwise thoroughly enjoyed this book; it was a quick, easy and engaging read!
