In this dynamically changing and high-velocity world, humankind’s unmet need for inner peace self-identifies on a macro level and compels bolder remedial action at scale. Timed precisely as unsettling current events are persisting into the future, Meta-Brain: Reprogramming the Unconscious for Self-Directed Living boldly celebrates human possibility by helping readers chart at-peace journeys of healthy living and greater accomplishments.
Author and neuro-tech innovator, Alexandrea Day, presents Adaptive Therapy in Meta-Brain, a breakthrough method of powering self-change derived from her 20 years of research into the human condition and clinical practice with thousands of clients. The thesis of Adaptive Therapy is that humans respond to their current environment based upon established belief systems, formed from past similar experiences. Comprehending that the unconscious mind is the lens through which both past and in-the-moment events and experiences are appraised, Adaptive Therapy helps readers re-program their belief systems to modify automated behaviors that may be self-limiting or, when not adhered to, invoke the stress response system.
Stress is preventable with Adaptive Therapy. Meta-Brain makes the case that anyone can modify their negative perceptions and reframe them to generate positive outcomes, regardless of how or when they were established. Adaptive Therapy shows how to arrive at a better state of mind with assertive science-backed rationale and methods. Meta-Brain discovers and empowers a freer and more powerful self with a new and permanent level of mental fitness.
Readers will learn techniques for:
Adapting to surroundings instead of trying to manipulate them externally
Projecting positive future outcomes and successfully harmonize with their world
Accessing groundbreaking mindfulness that can slow down time
Amplifying intuition
Treating chronic stress
Rewiring the unconscious mind to successfully adapt to new events and experiences
Framing the mind of a champion; elite performer regardless of parental upbringing
Meta-Brain advocates a unique path forward for communities and policymakers looking to eliminate the social conditions creating barriers to learning and adaptive behavioral change. It’s a strong read for healthcare professionals, licensed therapists, and self-assessing individuals intent on learning how to be the best version of themselves.
Advancing from authoring Meta-Brain, Alexandrea is now focused on building her neuro-tech company, Meta-Brain Labs(tm), to implement Meta-Brain principles into a range of self-change solutions for at work, at home, and at play hyper-learning applications.

This classic astrology text, revered by both beginning and professional astrologers alike, offers a fresh perspective on how to handle the influence of this much-maligned astrological symbol. World-famous astrologer and Jungian analyst Liz Greene brings her unique psychological approach to Saturn, showing us how the frustrating experiences connected to this planet can be turned into opportunities for greater insight and meaning in our lives. Saturn, she says, symbolizes a psychic process, one that allows us to utilize the experience of pain for self-discovery and greater understanding. Greene traces the character of this most important planet through sign, house, aspect, synastry, and its role in mythology. She offers a brilliant analysis of Saturn to reveal the face of the Initiator who, for the price of our honesty, offers us greater consciousness, self-understanding, and, eventually, freedom. This 35th anniversary edition includes a new foreword by leading astrologer and author Robert Hand.

“Yasmine’s work is monumental, and I am in much better holistic alignment because of her dedicated and helpful offerings to the world.”–Alex Elle, author of After the Rain
A radical approach to setting boundaries and protecting your energy, rich with tools for self-healing.
Imagine a glass jar filled with sugar on a kitchen counter. You are the jar, and the sugar is your energy. If the jar has no lid, people can come in and take as much sugar as they want. Sometimes, they spill that sugar all over. You may try to refill your jar–replenish your energy–through self-care, but because there is no a lid–no protective boundary–you cannot control how much of your vital life force is being drained.
The Sugar Jar metaphor is a powerful teaching tool that wellness advocate and coach Yasmine Cheyenne has successfully used with her clients. Now, in her debut book, she makes it available to everyone. Combining stories, exercises, and prompts, The Sugar Jar lets you see just how much energy you have and how much is being used by others. It helps you identify what depletes you, what restores you, and how to recognize destructive patterns. It empowers you to free yourself from performing for and serving others, teaching you to set boundaries to help you heal and recharge. The Sugar Jar frees you from the excess stress and exhaustion that wears you down. It allows you to unleash your authentic self, choose joy, and find lasting balance.
A compassionate teacher, Cheyenne offers a unique and much needed perspective. A former member of the Air Force working with victims of domestic violence, she has specifically designed her approach and questions about boundaries, self-care, and self-healing for readers of all backgrounds, and especially readers of color, whose stressors and life challenges have too often been excluded and overlooked. Cheyenne herself has felt unwelcome as a Black woman in predominantly white wellness groups and retreats. Her inclusive message speaks to the needs of BIPOC readers, and accepts them where they are.
Warm and honest, The Sugar Jar shows you how to make small adjustments that can lead to big changes in your life.

* Details methods and techniques for the acquisition of supersensory powers distilled from Rudolf Steiner’s 400 published volumes and from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra
* Explores acquisition of these powers at birth (genetic) and through entheogens, mantra and prayer, effort and exercise, and nondual meditation
* Includes a map of consciousness based on the work of neuroscientist Karl Pribram and physicist David Bohm
According to philosopher Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925), there exists within every human being the potential for developing supersensory powers and, with these powers activated, the ability to awaken the higher self and attain knowledge of non-physical higher worlds. Steiner himself worked diligently throughout his life to develop his faculties of “supersensible perception” and, scattered throughout his many works, he describes methods by which to activate and operate these supersensory-cognitive systems.
Distilling techniques from Steiner’s more than 400 published volumes, Shelli Renee Joye, Ph.D., presents a practical, modern approach to acquiring, cultivating, and maintaining supersensible perception and developing higher consciousness. The five approaches she studies include acquisition by birth (genetic), entheogens, mantra and prayer, effort and exercise, and Samadhi–equated by many with nondual awareness. Adding another dimension to Steiner’s methods, the author shows how these steps are powerfully aligned with 4th-century South Indian sage Patanjali’s teachings in the Yoga Sutra.
The author explores how to develop what you have acquired through imaginative, active, or intuitive thinking, as well as how to learn through inner guidance and how to transform knowledge gained from books into spiritual advancement. She also shares her own extraordinary experiences of supersensory networks of consciousness.
Connecting Steiner’s ideas to modern advances in quantum physics, psychedelic science, and consciousness studies, Dr. Joye shows how each of us is capable of developing supersensible perception and expanding our awareness to connect with cosmic consciousness. -

We are all worried about wasting time. Especially in the West, we have created a frenzied lifestyle in which the twenty-four hours of each day are carved up, dissected, and reduced down to ten minute units of efficiency. We take our iPhones and laptops with us on vacation. We check email at restaurants or our brokerage accounts while walking in the park. When the school day ends, our children are overloaded with “extras.” Our university curricula are so crammed our young people don’t have time to reflect on the material they are supposed to be learning. Yet in the face of our time-driven existence, a great deal of evidence suggests there is great value in “wasting time,” of letting the mind lie fallow for some periods, of letting minutes and even hours go by without scheduled activities or intended tasks.
Gustav Mahler routinely took three or four-hour walks after lunch, stopping to jot down ideas in his notebook. Carl Jung did his most creative thinking and writing when he visited his country house. In his 1949 autobiography, Albert Einstein described how his thinking involved letting his mind roam over many possibilities and making connections between concepts that were previously unconnected. With In Praise of Wasting Time, Professor Alan Lightman documents the rush and heave of the modern world, suggests the technological and cultural origins of our time-driven lives, and examines the many values of “wasting time”–for replenishing the mind, for creative thought, and for finding and solidifying the inner self. Break free from the idea that we must not waste a single second, and discover how sometimes the best thing to do is to do nothing at all. -

With beautiful decorative elements and an engaging design, the book approaches its subject in a readily digestible form. It grapples with some of life’s most pressing questions, like “Is happiness a worthy goal?” and “What is the foundation for meaning in a secular society?” and “Is life an existential void?” yet Martela answers these questions and more in a relaxed, conversational tone and with a wry sense of humor, placing some of life’s greatest philosophical concerns and quandaries into a modern-day context.
Martela quickly and concisely gets to the heart of the matter: your place in the world and how to find meaning in life as countless thinkers and philosophers have done before, yet the emphasis here is on what we do with the life we have and how we can make it more meaningful. Part prescriptive and part armchair philosophy book, A Wonderful Life is accessible to everyone, from the well-read scholar to the apprentice as well as anyone curious about how to extract the greatest meaning and sense of purpose from their existence.

Traditionally, scientists have emphasized what they call the first and second natures of personality–genes and culture, respectively. But today the field of personality science has moved well beyond the nature vs. nurture debate. In Who Are You, Really? Dr. Brian Little presents a distinctive view of how personality shapes our lives–and why this matters. Little makes the case for a third nature to the human condition–the pursuit of personal projects, idealistic dreams, and creative ventures that shape both people’s lives and their personalities. Little uncovers what personality science has been discovering about the role of personal projects, revealing how this new concept can help people better understand themselves and shape their lives.
In this important work, Little argues that it is essential to devote energy and resources to creative endeavors in a highly focused fashion, even if it takes away from other components of our well-being. This does not mean that we cannot shift from one core project to another in the days of our lives. In fact, it is precisely that ability to flexibly craft projects that is the greatest source of sustainability. Like learning to walk, forcing ourselves out of balance as we step is the only way in which we can move forward. And it is the only way that human flourishing can be enhanced.
The well-lived life is based on the sustainable pursuit of core projects in our lives. Ultimately, Who Are You, Really? provides a deeply personal itinerary for exploring our personalities, our lives, and the human condition. -
