Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter books are an urban fantasy series by the American fantasy and romance author Laurell K. Hamilton. The series follows the titular character and the narrator of the story, Anita Blake, a vampire hunter from St. Louis, a necromancer, and a professional police consultant for the paranormal.
The series is a blend of detective fiction, horror, and romance, and its unique take on all of the mentioned genres sold about six million copies worldwide since Guilty Pleasure, the first book, came out in 1993.

The Laughing Corpse
